Pedestrian-only streets

There's concern about the permanent closure of Trafalgar Street in Nelson, but also some excitement.

Some locals support the move to make the street completely pedestrian-only, saying the area can be used for arts performances and as a public space. But others are worried it would become a magnet for drunken behaviour.

Matt Lowrie from Greater Auckland explains whether pedestrianisation of streets works or not.
