Episode 227 features an interview about the late New Zealand born singer Pixie Williams who first came to national attention in the late 1940’s when she recorded a 78 rpm disc called ‘Blue smoke’, the first record wholly produced in New Zealand. It was a massive hit selling over 50,000 copies for the New Zealand-owned TANZA record label.
