A supermarket in the Wellington suburb of Miramar is closed after a fire overnight.
The blaze at the New World began in a freezer about 3.30am on Thursday.
It was quickly put out by sprinkler, with four trucks attending the scene.
In a statement, its owner thanked fire and emergency staff, supermarket workers for helping with the cleanup, and customers for their patience.
An update on when the store will reopen will be provided soon.
