Labour and New Zealand First have officially signed their coalition agreement.
Watch here:
The signing ceremony, with the incoming Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern and the New Zealand First leader Winston Peters, has just taken place at Parliament.
Once the agreement was signed, the two party leaders shook hands.
Ms Ardern says today represents a huge step change for the New Zealand Government.
She said the coalition agreement with New Zealand First prioritises regional economic development and job creation.
Ms Ardern said the regions have been neglected for the last nine years and New Zealand First has advocated strongly to begin much-needed reinvestment in them.
There will also been an emphasis on investment in health and education, and reducing inequality.
Ms Ardern said the policies outlined in the agreement fit within Labour's budget responsibility rules.
The announcement will be followed by the signing of the confidence and supply agreement with Green Party Leader James Shaw at 4pm.
