Data illegally taken in a raid on the home of Nicky Hager and held in the High Court will soon be destroyed by the police.

The journalist and author's computer equipment was seized in October 2014 in an operation later ruled by the court to be fundamentally unlawful.
Mr Hager's home was searched during a hunt for sources who contributed to his book Dirty Politics, but the High Court later found the police had failed to give relevant information to the judge who gave the search warrant.
Mr Hager and his lawyer travelled to Auckland today to collect the equipment that has been sealed in the High Court.
They will inspect the computers and other property to see if they have been accessed.
The police will also destroy a hard drive and memory card they had copied some material to.
