Seven fire crews have worked through the night to control a large fire at a farm machinery business in Invercargill.
Emergency services were called to Southland Farm Machinery in Prestonville just before midnight.
A fire service spokesman said it was a ferocious blaze that took almost four hours to get under control.
More than 20 firefighters worked to stop the spread of the fire but he said they couldn't save a single story building housing farm machinery.
He said the fire did not appear to be suspicious but a specialist fire investigator is due at the scene later.
