An Israeli man missing on the South Island's West Coast has been found, after spending two days in a national park.

Police said the 40-year-old man entered the Paparoa National Park, near Westport, on Tuesday morning.
He turned up in the carpark about 3.30pm today, and was now having a medical check-up.
The area has had strong south-westerly winds and rain, as well as near freezing temperatures.
