Colin Craig's former press secretary Rachel MacGregor has filed papers in the High Court in Auckland against her former boss.

But it is unclear whether the papers are a statement of defence in relation to Mr Craig's proceedings against her or a new action.
Two weeks ago RNZ reported the former head of the Conservative Party had filed a defamation claim against Ms MacGregor but Ms MacGregor had not been served.
The following day Mr Craig told RNZ that he had no intention of pursuing the case.
Today Ms MacGregor said she sought legal advice about the defamation claim.
She said she was told she had to file a document today in order to protect her legal position.
Ms MacGregor is not commenting further.
