A man is dead after a car and truck collided in Bunnythorpe near Palmerston North.

Police said the driver of the car died at the scene this morning, at the intersection of Ashhurst and Watershed roads.
They said the Serious Crash Unit was investigating and Ashhurst Road would remain closed for some time.
Diversions have been put in place.
