A 25-year-old man remains missing after a dinghy overturned in a Southland estuary yesterday.
Three men were in the dinghy which flipped in the Riverton Estuary about 2.30pm yesterday afternoon.
A member of the public alerted an off-duty police officer and they were able to retrieve one of the men from the water.
A second swam to safety.
The third was not located and remains missing.
The Police National Dive Squad will arrive in Southland this morning to assist in the search.
