A man has been charged after an assault left another man with head injuries in central Auckland early this morning.
Police were called to the incident on the corner of Albert and Victoria Streets about 3.30am.
Police arrested and charged a 33-year-old man with wounding with intent.
The injured man was taken to Auckland City Hospital and is in a serious but stable condition.
