A man is still in a critical condition after a fight following an attempted van break-in in West Auckland at the weekend.

Two men were seen trying to get into the van at the back of a Te Atatu Rd address early yesterday morning.
A fight erupted between the owner and one of the men, who lost consciousness and was taken to hospital in a critical condition.
The police completed their examination of the Te Atatu Road address yesterday.
Officers have spoken to the van owner and several other witnesses.
They are still looking for a second man who fled in a vehicle.
The police are urging him to come forward.
