A breakdown blocked one lane of Auckland's southern motorway heading north and a slip has closed part of State Highway 2 between Napier and Gisborne.
In Auckland, the left lane just past the Alfriston Road overbridge was blocked after Takanini, causing delays.
The lane was cleared just before 9am, the Transport Agency said.
