The Government is giving 200,000 dollars to the West Coast and the top of the South Island to help with the cleanup from two large floods in recent weeks.
Rural Communities Minister Damien O'Connor says the money will help farmers and growers recover after the wettest February on record.
O'Connor said the money would go into rural support trusts and mayoral relief funds.
In one of the worst affected areas, the Buller District, floodwaters damaged infrastructure, farm buildings, paddocks, and washed away winter feed.
A state of emergency remains in place across the district, and hundreds of people are still isolated north of Westport.
