Police have confirmed the person arrested after an attack at Tawa College yesterday was a teenager.
One person remains in intensive care after being seriously injured.
A 15-year-old has been charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm over the incident.
He will appear in youth court today.
Police say they understand the event was unsettling for those involved but say it was an isolated incident.
Tawa College was in lockdown for over an hour yesterday afternoon and students say it was a scary experience.
The school is having a teachers-only day today.
Ministry of Education staff are on-site today, and officials say they are working closely with the school, and will provide support for as long as it's needed.
