Hundreds of shoppers fled as a masked group robbed a jewellery store at the Westfield Albany mall in Auckland this evening.
A jewellery store worker at the mall confirmed a group of men ran into the mall and smashed cabinets at the Michael Hill Jeweller store.
She said it all happened very fast and there was a lot of yelling and screaming.
The woman said she was shaken but grateful to have had security around.
The men fled the scene with an unknown amount of goods.
