Police in Otago say two people have died in a crash on State Highway 1 at Titri, south of Mosgiel.
Emergency services were called at about 12.15pm on Monday and both victims died at the scene of the crash, police said in a statement.
Four others were taken to hospital, three in a critical condition and one in a serious condition.
Police say an inquiry is under way.
