Rāhui in place on Whanganui River after man reported missing

A rāhui has been placed on part of the Whanganui River after a man was reported missing.

Police were alerted just before 2.30pm on Thursday.

The dive squad will be deployed on Friday to assist with search efforts.

The rāhui has been placed between Sparrows Cliff and the river mouth, and will last for three days.
