Live: Prime Minister Christopher Luxon to speak

Prime Minister Christopher Luxon will speak to media after the Auditor-General rejected a request to investigate the government's decision to halve excise tax on heated tobacco products.

It comes as the Transport Minister says Auckland's train system will close for up to 96 days next year.

Luxon has been attending Business Canterbury Prime Minister's Lunch at the Air Force Museum in Wigram.

He is due to speak to media at 2pm.
