A Wellington cafe has been cordoned off after a kitchen fire saw residents above the business evacuated overnight.
Fire and Emergency were called to Beach Babylon cafe on Oriental Parade just after 1am.
There were no injuries in the fire which required more than seven fire trucks to extinguish.
Fire investigators will be at the scene to determine the cause of the blaze.
