A road in Whititanga near the intersection of Arthur St and Catherine Crescent remains closed after a sinkhole was spotted yesterday.
The Thames-Coromandel District Council says the sinkhole appears to have formed in line with a wastewater line.
The road will remain closed - except to residents and emergency vehicles- while crews are undertaking repair work.
The work was expected to take multiple days.
