Police are investigating the death of a woman following an incident in Feilding on Boxing Day.
Detective Senior Sergeant Dave Thompson says the woman was taken to Palmerston North Hospital in an ambulance on Friday, after suffering an injury the previous evening.
He said the woman became critically ill and was transferred to Wellington Hospital where she died today.
Police have examined the Feilding property and are speaking to its occupants to understand how the woman was injured.
