Police issued an amber alert when asking for the public's help to find an 11-year-old girl who went missing from her home in New Plymouth this morning.
The girl was found safe and well on Tuesday night, police said in a social media update.
Earlier they said Hayley Ford disappeared from her Omata Road home in the surburb of Marfell at about 7am.
Hayley has an intellectual disability giving her the mental age of about five and has walked away from her home before.
An amber alert is issued when police believe a missing child is at risk of harm.
