A man has critical injuries after being shot in Hamilton on Sunday morning.
Police say they were called to Winstone Avenue in the suburb of Chartwell at about 5am after reports of gunshots.
A short time later, a man turned up at hospital with a bullet wound.
Officers are now working to find out what happened and are speaking those believed to be involved.
Cordons will remain in place around Winstone Avenue on Sunday while a scene examination takes place at a house.
