A man's death after a street fight in Hastings is being probed as a homicide.
Police said they received reports of a group of people fighting about 10:30pm on Sunday.
They said the man arrived at Hastings Hospital in a critical condition and later died from his sustained injuries.
Detective inspector Martin James said an investigation in the man's death was under way.
He said the community could expect to see an increased police presence.
Police have asked for any witnesses to come forward.
