One person has died following a single-vehicle crash in Hadlow, a rural community in the Timaru District.
A police spokesperson said the crash was discovered on Spur Road at about midday today and was thought to have occurred overnight.
The Serious Crash Unit was examining the scene, and diversions were in place.
Police are advising motorists to avoid the area if possible.
