A pedestrian has died after being hit by a ute in Canterbury.
The crash happened between Malvern Hills Road and Duke Street in Sheffield.
It was reported to police about 6.40am on Tuesday.
In a post on social media, Sheffield Pies said the person who died was a customer who was crossing the road.
State Highway 73 was closed at the crash site and and police asked the public to avoid the area.
The police serious crash unit was examining the scene.
