The Prime Minister has paid tribute to the thousands of soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice at Gallipoli over a century ago.
Anzac Day commemorations at Gallipoli got under way earlier with Princess Anne the first speaker at the Dawn Service.
Christopher Luxon then addressed attendees, saying Gallipoli is a name etched into New Zealand's national identity.
He said while New Zealanders remain proud of the Anzac troops who served, it was important not to glorify what happened there.
Luxon is the first prime minister to visit Turkey since 2015, and his attendance at Gallipoli coincides with the 110th anniversary of the Anzac landings.
