Wellington Electricity said power will be restored to the last remaining properties it's planning to visit on Thursday.
It follows thousands losing power after a red wind warning lashed the capital on Thursday and Friday last week.
The power provider said it's sending field staff to homes it hasn't verified are without power yet.
It said there are a small number of people who need to complete private repairs before they can safely reconnect.
Wellington Electricity said customers without power should contact their retailer so it can reconnect them as soon as possible.
