Police are still hunting for an offender, after a person was found with critical injuries in the Auckland suburb of Māngere last night.
Emergency services responded to reports of an assault on Coronation Road, near Māngere Bridge, at about 6pm.
Police said one person was taken to hospital in a critical condition, where they remained stable.
A spokesperson said enquires were ongoing.
