Two people have died after two separate crashes in recent days.
A person died at the scene of a crash on State Highway 56 at Tiakitahuna, near Palmerston North, on Monday night.
Two vehicles were involved in the accident which also injured three other people.
Police said a woman had died in hospital following a crash on State Highway 1 at Hampden, north of Dunedin, on Sunday.
