An unplanned outage in Auckland's Avondale on Friday has been attributed to damage to power lines caused by a bird.
The power outage was reported to lines company Vector just after 6.15am.
Crews were sent to the area to investigate with a network equipment fault identified.
Vector expected power to be restored now.
