Dunedin police are appealing for information after an air rifle was fired into the window of a Sawyers Bay home.
The resident was awoken by sounds outside their Kaira Street home last Friday and found their window damaged.
Officers discovered an air rifle was fired into the property.
"Thankfully, no one was injured, however the victim is understandably shaken by the incident," police said.
Police are asking anyone who saw anything unusual around the area between 1am and 3am on Friday 24 October to get in contact.
"We are also urging anyone with CCTV footage, for the same time, around Kaira Street, Fairview Terrace and the stretch of Hall Road between Hugh Street and Tewsley Street, to please contact us so that we can review the footage," police said.
