The Highlanders, Crusaders and Hurricanes started their Brisbane Tens campaigns with wins while the Blues played out a draw and the Chiefs suffered a loss.

The Chiefs played the opening game of the tournament against the Melbourne Rebels at Suncorp Stadium, where a temperature of 42 degrees celsius was recorded.
The Chiefs went down 19-5 in the 20-minute match as Wellington utility back Jackson Garden-Bachop made his first appearance for a Super Rugby franchise with the Rebels.
The Robbie Deans coached Wild Knights from Japan dispatched the Waratahs 15-5 in game two before Tana Umaga's Blues played out a 17-17 drew with the Queensland Reds.
South Africa's Bulls overcame the Force 14-10 before Marty Banks guided the Highlanders to a 14-7 defeat of the Brumbies.
The Crusaders encountered stiff opposition from Samoa but eked out a 12-7 victory.
The Hurricanes started badly and were trailing the Force 12-0 at half time.
But the Wellington based franchise fought back in the second-half with two tries before a Corey Jane intercept gave them victory 19-12.
The two day tournament concludes on Sunday.
