The former double olympic rowing champion Hamish Bond has proven he's just as handy on a bike, winning the national men's road cycling time trial in Napier.

After finishing third in the same event last year, Bond went two better this time round, winning by a minute and half in a time of 50 minutes and 50 seconds.
The 31-year-old finished ahead of Michael Vink in second and Jason Christie in third.
Defending champion Jack Bauer missed the time trial due to illness while Nelson cyclist, George Bennett, was also absent.
Meanwhile Georgia Williams took out the women's time trial ahead of Rushlee Buchanan in second and Bronwyn MacGregor in third.
