Auckland FC have one hand on the Premiers Plate after winning over the Melbourne Victory on Saturday.
The 2-0 win at AAMI Park means Auckland will claim the silverware in their first season with two rounds to spare should Melbourne City defeat Western Sydney Wanderers later in the evening.
Locked up at nil-all at half-time, the second half goals to Louis Verstraete and Guillermo May ensured Auckland their 14th win of the season, and sees them seven points clear at the top of the table.
