Otago have booked their ticket to the NPC rugby final after dominating Bay of Plenty 41-17 in the first semifinal in Dunedin.
It will be Otago's first NPC final since 1998. They will meet the winner of tomorrow's semifinal between Canterbury and Hawke's Bay.
Otago scored three tries to two in the first half to lead 21-12 at half-time.
The home side added another two tries in the second half before Bay of Plenty managed to cross the line again late in the game.
Try scorer Finn Hurley had to leave the field with an injury in the last few minutes, which will be a concern for Otago ahead of the final.
