Political pressure over Dotcom - report

Internet Party leader Laila Harre says newly released declassified emails about the Kim Dotcom residency process show inappropriate political pressure hastened his residency application.

The New Zealand Herald has published Official Information Act material detailing Kim Dotcom's residency application and alleged there was political pressure to let him in.

Harre told Radio New Zealand's Morning Report programme that she had read the released documents and believed the then Immigration Minister should have stayed out of the decision-making process.
