The general election is now fewer than two months away – and yet many haven’t decided who to vote for, or even to vote at all.
Though “young voters” are often grouped together, we each have our own priorities that inform our politics, and tomorrow, Victoria University of Wellington Students’ Association is hoping to uncover what those are. It’s hosting the What Are You Voting For? expo at the university’s Student Hub from 11am ’til 2pm tomorrow to uncover what issues matter most to university students this election, and what they’re voting for in September.
From noon to 1pm in The Hub, we’re hosting a debate between representatives of the youth wings of ACT, NZ First, National, the Greens and Labour, who will share their party lines on education, the economy, the environment, housing and inequality before answering questions from the floor or posed over social media. Tweet us your questions with #YWDebate. Our producer Elle Hunt will be returning to her old stomping ground of Victoria University to MC.
I reckon if @mlle_elle does a good job in the upcoming @TheWirelessNZ debate TVNZ should give her a buzz

On The Fence, AskAway and RockEnrol will also be present at the expo.
