The Australian Government is blocking American R 'n' B singer Chris Brown from entering the country because of his history of domestic violence.
The performer was due to tour Australia and New Zealand in December, but the Australian Immigration Minister Peter Dutton said the singer had been issued with 28 days notice that he intended to consider blocking a visa.
In 2009, Brown was convicted of assault and threatening to kill his then girlfriend, singer Rihanna.
He was sentenced to five years probation.
New Zealand officials had already indicated they were unlikely to allow Brown into the country to stage his One Hell of a Night Tour.
