A magnitude 5.7 earthquake has struck Vanuatu, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre says.
It was 200km deep and 95km north-north-west of Sola, Vanuatu, the US Geological Service said.
No tsunami threat has been posted by the United States or Vanuatu.
The quake was initially reported as a 6.6 magnitude but revised a short time later.
Since then there has been a 4.9 aftershock 35km west-north-west of the capital, Port Vila. It was registered at a depth of 43.2km.
A 7.3-magnitude earthquake struck Vanuatu's capital Port Vila, claiming 14 lives, injuring more than 200 people and displacing thousands more last December.
