Esther Oh is an up-and-coming conductor and violinist that you might be hearing more of within the classical music scene.
They've volunteered their skills to teach Classical music to kids in Bangkok, while also honing their craft as a student at the University of Auckland.
Esther is one of twelve young emerging artists who are developing their talents through the Whakatipu Music Festival's Young Artist Programme, where they'll be mentored by six local and overseas titans in the classical scene.

Kelly Gibney serves up a simplified version of fish pie leaving behind the mashed potato topping. One less prep step means these lands on your dinner table a little faster. The crumb topping has crushed pistachios nuts, and a big handful of parsley added giving it a gorgeous green colour and wonderful flavour. Get the recipe here.

Today i'm joined by Ty King-Wall. He's a Waihi born former principal dancer at The Australia Ballet.
He retired from the dance in 2022, and at the end of 2023 moved back here to take up the role of Artistic Director at the Royal New Zealand Ballet.
