Vanuatu's Opposition Leader, Moana Carcasses, has lodged a counter-motion against the Prime Minister's motion to suspend 16 opposition MPs.
Last week, Joe Natuman deposited a motion with the speaker claiming that Mr Carcasses had offered 10,000 US dollars to any MP willing to pledge allegiance to him, which he said contravened the leadership code.
That motion is expected to be heard when Parliament sits tomorrow.
But the Daily Post reports that Mr Carcasses has lodged his own motion against Mr Natuman's motion that has the signatures of 22 opposition MPs.
