Fiji Airways says it will re introduce direct flights between Fiji and Japan next year.

The airline has previously flown the Nadi to Tokyo route but discontinued it in 2009.
The resumption of the contact is expected to boost sales of tuna from the Pacific and create larger profits for regional exporters.
Fiji Airways chief executive Andre Vijoen said the airline would fly to Narita three times a week.
He said Japanese visitors were some of the most discerning in the world and he hopes Fiji can capitalise on the high interest in outbound travel from Japan, with an estimated 13.4 million Japanese residents travelling overseas in the past year.
FBC news reported Fiji Airways would get its fifth A330-200 aircraft to cater for the new service.
