Christopher Tubbs is a DJ, producer and former BBC broadcaster, widely considered a godfather of New Zealand’s dance music scene. His work as Tubbs, with Atlantic Conveyor, and alongside Eden Burns for Public Possession has earned support from Gilles Peterson, Mark Ronson, Zane Lowe, Optimo and Axel Boman.

After nearly 20 years in London, Christopher returned to Aotearoa and launched Body Electric in 2017 — a night that became a benchmark for Kiwi club culture and a must-play for local DJs. Recently he has launched ON&ON, a popular monthly daytime dance party, bringing his eclectic flavours to an inter generational legion of fans… all before midnight.

A seasoned broadcaster and music consultant, he has hosted shows on BBC 6Music and Monocle Radio, while serving as a music director for various high profile luxury fashion brands.

On the road, Christopher has played many of the world’s standout clubs, from Privilege in Ibiza to Fabric in London. He also co-founded the cult vinyl-only label Untracked, which gave early releases to Red Rack’em and New Zealand’s own Frank Booker.
