1.20 Finding the Voice  - John Farnham 

A new John Farnham Documentary FINDING THE VOICE will be released into NZ cinemas next week 27^th July, sharing the untold story of John and his troubled musical career.

With such a fast successful start to his career singing pop dittys such as Sadie The Cleaning Lady in the 70s,  John and his long time manager realised it would be hard to convince people he could sing anything else – especially rock and roll.

Charlotte Ryan spoke to Glens longtime partner Gaynor Wheatly about why it was so important for this doco to be seen.

1.35 Ermehn Obit  

The NZ Hip hop community has been mourning the loss of pioneering rapper-  Ermehn. 
Herman Loto Sakaria who performed as Ermehn Was a pillar of the Otara community and he was one of the first rappers to embrace and include the pacific Island culture into NZ Hip Hop.

NOVA is the brain-child of Wellington locals, Bryn van Vliet and Eliza Pickard.

Pip Adam is an Award winning author of five books, including the Ockham Winning The New Animals (2017) and the widely praised Nothing to See (2021).

Pip's work has appeared in literary journals and anthologies in New Zealand and overseas.

Pip has facilitated writing workshops in universities and other settings, including with people affected by crime in prisons and communities.

Her latest novel/space epic Audition has just been released to the world. 

She joins Charlotte Ryan on The Mixtape this week.
