1:30 80-year-old DJ Vika: “Those who dance never grow old”
An 84-year-old grandmother is one of Poland’s most popular DJs.
DJ Vika is a star of Warsaw nightclubs - she is a hit with young people and also DJs at a weekly senior citizens club. Vika is on a mission to live out her senior years in a radically different way, refusing to become dependent on her family and celebrating her body publicly in fantastic fashion. Yet, even Vika is reckoning with old age.
A new documentary about Vika will screen at the Doc Edge documentary festival which launches in NZ this week.
The director Agnieszka Zwiefka speaks to Charlotte Ryan.

Kazu Makino and twin brothers Simone and Amedeo Pace formed the band in New York City in 1993. Thirty years on, their new album Sit Down for Dinner has been described as their finest work.

Earth Tongue channels 80s horror with their powerful sound - think gore, tombstones and hands coming up through the ground. It's the band child of guitarist Gussie Larkin (Mermaidens) and Ezra Simons (Soft Bait).
