The government has this morning released its second Suicide Prevention Action Plan.
It is the second such plan.
There are 21 health-led new actions and 13 cross-agency new actions that include improving access to supports and strengthening the focus on prevention and early intervention.
A wider mental health and addictions plan is also being worked on and is due to be released in October.
Minister for Mental Health Matt Doocey joins Kathryn to discuss what's in it, and how it will sit alongside work to improve Kiwis' access to mental health and addiction services.
