It must be the ultimate multi-media experience - a classic movie from the Golden Age of Hollywood with the award-winning music track played live by a world-class orchestra. The New Zealand Symphony Orchestra are about to accompany two screenings of one of the great musicals, Leonard Bernstein's West Side Story which in 1962 won 10 Academy Awards, including Best Picture. This version may have removed the music track, but the dialogue, the sound effects and the singing remain. So how do you synch up all these elements over half a century later?
