Kerryn Fields

The world seems to be conspiring against award-winning, Australian-based New Zealander Kerryn Fields introducing her music to Aotearoa. A long awaited return to New Zealand in 2021 ran into a Covid-19 lockdown. Her recent appearance at Auckland Folk Festival in February was rather wet, and the cyclone saw off a planned Hawke's Bay tour. But finally a national tour with fellow expat Matt Joe Gow is underway. Kerryn first made her name when she won a Songwriting Award at the 2019 New Zealand Country Music Awards. She spoke to Kim Hill last Saturday morning - but first here's Kerryn Fields with "Atlantis."
